We began our relationship with Mr. Brown and Dr. Brown when K. was just 4 years old and he has prospered as a young man.  His social skills with other children have grown as he makes friends every year and rekindles relationships. . . .Kevin's academics are very important to us and he has always gotten advanced help when needed and assistance on his studies from this program.  He is learning to enjoy reading and completing his assignments as there are plenty of rewards in the end.  I am very pleased having found a place where Kevin is loved, has friends, and is well taken care of. . . . this is an excellent program for children to attend in a safe, loving, academic and fun environment and definitely a program that I refer friends and family to.    ~G.     I am so excited to have found Dr. B ...She is very personable and my daughter enjoyed working with her. She was able to pull material from my daughter with ease and patience with the pneumonic and acronym utilization she is teaching her. I was impressed with the information of materials she was able to refer back to in an hour and a half session, that she couldn't hold onto in an entire year of Biology last year. I would recommend (and already have) Dr. B to anyone that is seeking life long learning for their student. I am especially thankful because she is looking at life long learning and my daughters long term goals not just passing one class but being successful for a life time with skills she can use in any class.  ~J.     While working closely with me, and the school this organization has aided my child to gain knowledge, skills and abilities in a warm, nurturing, yet rigorous academic setting. This organization has a very structured program, which continues to help my son with reading, math, and other academic areas he might need help. Each day, Mr. Brown and Dr. Brown use various strategies to help him with his homework, and other educational matters.  They provide daily verbal feedback regarding his academic progress, achievements, and areas he might still need help.  My son has moved from performing less than satisfactory to being on the honor roll during his enrollment...This organization provides an outstanding academic environment for children, while setting goals, and monitoring their progress.  Again, I highly recommend this organization to provide services to all children who can benefit from their services as me, and my child.     ~F. Clark

I have been extremely pleased with the academic progress they have displayed since the school year began. . . . have consistently maintained above average grades since attending...They are both performing well above grade level in their respective grades.  I have received many compliments from several of their teachers in regards to their academic progress.  In addition, I have noticed that their study habits and their attitude towards academics has changed tremendously.  They are more focused on academics first and extracurricular activities second. Dr. and Mr. Brown have a wonderful rapport with each of the children in the program.  You can tell that they genuinely care about the well-being of each child. They are always available to discuss any concerns I may have about my children's progress and are always very good at proposing solutions that make academics fun for my children. I can rest assured that every evening when I pick my children up, their homework is completed and we can spend family time together reinforcing what was learning earlier in the day. ~M.V. Dallas

As a school based Occupational Therapist, I work with students with learning difficulties on a daily basis.  However, when my son was diagnosed with Dyslexia and Specific Learning Disability with Reading, I was overwhelmed to say the least.  I questioned how I could help my students learn the skills they need to be successful in the classroom but watch my son struggle daily.  I worked very hard to help him.  Only to find there weren't enough hours in the day.  I admit my son made progress with his ability to read but it was at the expense of our family time. . . . Then, I sought out tutoring services, which were often too expensive.  I tried various local aftercare programs that "guaranteed results" only to be disappointed.  Some programs placed little emphasis on academics and my son was left to complete his homework independently. Other programs were so rigid that my son began to hate learning!. . . . Immediately, from my phone conversation with Dr. Tina Brown, I KNEW there was something different about this program.  I could her passion for working with students. She had a calming effect on me and I knew why my prayers had been answered.  When I took my husband and son...we had found our answer.  AND I know it was the best decision for my family.  My son is in a place with professionals who value education while instilling a love & passion for learning.  My son has FUN while learning.  He comes home & is laughing.  His homework is completed (accurately) and he's done enrichment activities that are building blocks to help him become a strong reader.  Recently my son was awarded the B.U.G. award from his school.  This awarded to students who make marked improvement in a subject area.  His grade in English Language Arts went from "D" to "B" in one semester. . . . His score on standardized tests are now proficient in both reading and math!!! I am so proud about his academic gains.  BUT I'm even more excited about the time we can spend doing family things.  It is so great to be able to spend family time with my son!!! We can go on family outings, watch movies & play board games without guilt.     ~Z. Williams

    To the Browns,
I am so grateful that I had the opportunity to work under your direction.  It was a very pleasant experience.  There is no doubt that I have learned a lot working with kids due to the nature of a job that requires so much patience and tolerance. Though I am unsure as to whether or not I will come back next summer, I am definitely certain that I will incorporate all the things.  I have learned at Up To Par in all my collegiate pursuits, especially Safety, Supervision, and a Sobriety.  To simply put, I am thankful for all that you have taught me and I thank you both for taking a chance on me as your employee.  With the way the camp has progressed and developed in the last year, I am  so excited to hear what it's like in the near future!  Thanks again and have a Blessed day!         ~ Author - Summer Employee

    Dear Dr. Brown,
I write you this letter because you’re like a second mom to me and even if I have a problem that I needs someone to talk to.  I know I can count on you.   If I had to pick 10 people to be on this earth with you would be one of them because, your like five women in one,  you're a mentor, 2nd mom, caring-like a nurse, hard worker, and a GODESS – sorry I exaggerated a little, but even with this world as it is, you're the Best Friend and 2nd mom (BFA 2nd M) anyone could ever have. YOU! What makes you, you maybe its magic or more or maybe its just nothing that’s the big question about us, like water is to fire, as we are to YOU!        ~Author - Student

I have seen a drastic change in his grades as well as his behavior and social behavior.  As a result,  of this positive feedback, I will continue to utilize the services that the Brown’s provide.       ~S. Ratliff
